More taste in the kitchen with Mirride Odorosa.
Description :
The Mirride is a perennial plant, up to 150 cm tall and 90 cm wide. It has deep, resistant, thick roots and fleshy consistency, erect, branched, hollow, green, hairy and rather vigorous stems. The leaves resemble the fronds of ferns. It prefers cold temperate climates and resists harsh winters well. Ideal exposure: shaded, but it resists well even in full sun. If the roots are used, they must be uprooted in autumn but not before the second year of the plant's life.
Properties :
It has expectorant, diuretic, antiseptic and digestive action. The leaves and seeds emit an aroma very similar to that of anise and fennel, therefore it is also used in the kitchen to garnish salads, flavor fresh cheeses, prepare butter with herbs, flavor grappa and liqueurs. The roots are used exclusively fresh.
