--
Serrano is a Mexican pepper that when dried takes the name Chille Seco. It is grown on the mountain slopes of central Mexico, hence the name Serrano (coming from the mountains). Its fairly pungent spiciness is perfect for the preparation of "pico de gallo", a typical Mexican sauce.
It also has an interesting citrus aftertaste.
