Where to hang the Insect House
- In a sunny place: Most insects, such as solitary bees, love the sun. Therefore, placing it in an area that receives at least 4-6 hours of sunshine a day is ideal. A sunny area encourages their activity.
- Near flowering plants: Insects, such as bees and butterflies, are attracted to flowers. Placing the little house near flowering plants or vegetable gardens that produce flowers is a winning choice, as it will ensure a source of food and shelter.
- At a certain height: The insect house should be hung at a height of about 1.5 to 2 meters above the ground. This helps protect the insects from predators such as birds and reduce the risk of weather damage.
- In a wind-protected area: If possible, try to avoid hanging in places that are too exposed to strong winds. Insects, such as bees, may have difficulty flying in windy conditions.
- Away from pesticides: Avoid placing the insect house near areas where pesticides are used, as they could damage or kill the insects you are trying to attract.
- In a quiet garden: A quiet and not too busy place where there are no frequent disturbances is perfect for not scaring or disturbing insects.
